Day One:
I started walking back very briskly
back to MIAD from the bridge that I just met with my classmates. It
was a Friday and I had to work so one of my methods was walking super
fast. I wanted to see how I would see the world as I walked faster
and faster. BUT I took a detour to a street that I needed to go on
because I had to take a bathroom break in Noodles & Company!
Yikes. It was hot that day and I had my backpack on. It was a very
long walk but I had to do it because I needed to get to work. I had
to get on Milwaukee Street. I wanted to take no breaks while walking
because like I said I needed to get to my car fast. It was an
interesting walk because I noticed a lot of shop that I never saw
before whenever I drove in my car. One street caught my attention
because there was a plain street walk (photo 1) and then all
of a sudden I would walk down a couple more blocks and it was this
very super red brick (photo 2). I felt like I was in Paris or
something because of the street.
Having to wait during stoplights were
really annoying because I had to stand there until the person icon
showed up. If I drove my car, I wouldn't be having this problem. It's
a lot different when you are driving your car and walking because you
have to “follow” the rules as a pedestrian! I reached this one
street, I don't remember what street it was called, but it was super
confusing as a pedestrian walking. I walked to this set of stoplights
under the bridge and I couldn't find where the person icon was at. It
just stopped so I had to jaywalk through the lights because it was
near the highway exit. It was scary and I was super confused. If I
had my car it would be no problem. FINALLY I reached my car and sped
to work as fast I could, ignoring everything that I just saw while
walking! :D

Day Two:
I walked from Miad to a Park early
morning on Thursday (next week) to see what it would be like. This
process was walking and enjoying my view since I didn't begin school
to late afternoon! Then I would be picked up at a park. I walked on
Broadway street and looked at every detail. I decided to stop at a
Tea Shop & Cafe to grab a bite and a drink. I had a yummy quiche
and a very refreshing Ice Hibiscus Tea! Mmmmmm it was tasty! I sat in
the cafe and I wanted to enjoy myself and the walk I was about to go
on. After the cafe I went shopping at Bangles & Bags to purchase
a purse. I was dropped off already from a friend and had to walk
myself back home. After enjoying my view in the third ward, I notice
a really cool buildings. I don't know when I walk I am more attracted
to architecture instead of the natural surroundings! Anyways, I found
this apartment building (photo 3) and notice each porch had
their own design (photo 4). It was very cool to see!
I just like the fact we are our own
person and have our own distinct style! I saw some really cool
landscapes on the way to the park where I was going to be picked up.
I saw the usual as if I would be in my car, but I saw them more
closely! The same old objects, bridges, grass, people! It was weird
walking towards someone, like what do I do or even say! It was kind
of awkward because I was always in my car. I just nodded and if
someone said Hi, I would say the same. Getting picked up, I had to
wait awhile and in true honesty, I really dislike waiting for pick
up. They take forever because I am constantly staring at my cellphone
wondering if they got lost or what! When I drive, I know how long it
takes me, but when someone else drives, OH MY GOODNESS!! Now I know
how anyone feels like when they have to wait for a ride! It's boring
and horrible, especially if the person I want to talk to had a
different phone company, haha!

Day Three:
Day Three:
Yikes, this was when I had to ride a
bus and walk. I walked from my house with my brother and rode on the
bus near MIAD. I took a back route from my apartment and walked
towards the bus line. I really enjoyed this walk, actually not really
because it was a cloudy day. It was pretty cold so it was a different
feeling. Most walk I started walking super fast! I walked with
someone so it made the walk a little more relaxing and safe. I would
NEVER ride on the bus myself or in general, even ride the bus. I
don't like talking to strangers or even sitting next to them. I
understand if it was a friend, but riding a bus is NOT the time to
make friends! Luckily my brother was there to help me. The bus was
mostly college students and other people here and there. It took
FOREVER because buses have to stop a lot. Basically at every station
people were or needed to go. It was a long LONG ride!
I mostly photographed during my walk
and not on the bus because I didn't want to violate anyone. I
photograph this really cool forest I found because I am a
photographer who likes to photograph fear so this forest was awesome!
I photographed it the way I would photograph because I felt someone
staring at me back within this little space (photo 5). I saw a
lot of plants :D, but on the bus I knew what it felt like to ride the
bus. Would I ever do it again, no, but I understand students who say
“ I have to ride the bus”!!
I wish I had a bike, wonder what it
would be like??
