1949 N. Bartlett Avenue
Near Brady Street and Oakland Avenue
I walked past this place on one of my "clear the mind on a nice day" walks. It has boarded up windows on the first floor but the second floor windows open but are covered by things inside the house. I looked for evidence of a car or if someone was living there, but it was not clear. I think it may be someone's studio. I caught my interest because it is defiantly one of the older buildings in the area and has not been renovated. The huge door in front makes it easy for an artist to move large pieces of work. I think this would be a great site to have an exhibition: it have a roof so any weather works, it have electricity or have a possibility to, good location between MIAD and UWM, and it is a beautiful building that shows Milwaukee's history.

An old firehouse.
